Boxer Alicia Holzken wins last amateur fights in Germany!
Top boxer Alicia Holzken has won the title last weekend in Germany at the international tournament for Woman in Bensheim (Germany). The young and talented Alicia won on Saturday her first fight with very agressive fighting from Azize Nimani (Ger) the current number 7 on the World Ranking -54 (AIBA list).
On Sunday in the final Alicia won from the Hungarian Szabina Szucs, this woman was more than a head taller than Alicia but due to aggressive and smart boxing she did not gave her opponent any chance. It resulted in a very clear and professional win for Alicia 3-0.
Alicia said “This was a nice and very successful trip to Germany. I’m very happy that I won both fights against two experienced boxers in the heavier weightclass -54 instead of my own weight class -51. For me personally the fight on Saturday was the final already. While I was boxing in Germany against the German Azize, it was great to experience that the German fans were behind me after the fight and this was very kind off them”.
