Tuesday 27th of February, it has been 5 years since Ramon Dekkers passed away.
We honored our legend, son, father, brother and friend with a special memorial video.
In the evening Ramon's daughters organised a silent march. The march started at Hemmers Gym where hunderds of people gathered to honor Ramon.
Ramon 'The Diamond' Dekkers is seen as the 'Son of Tuinzigt' (the neighborhood he lived in), as a tribute to him the residents of the neighborhood wanted a painting of him on a building. It was planned to be made on this day, but due to some resistance from the town this has been delayed. Instead they showed everyone the projection of the painting that will be made in April this year. This was designed by Robin Nas in collaboration with the neighborhood and the family.
